The Twilight series.
Yes, I know… I’m a little late to the Twilight craze.
I promised myself that I wasn’t going to see the movies or read the book. But when you have just moved back to a small town, and don’t have any friends you take every social opportunity you can get.
I got invited by some girls I work with to go see New Moon. When they asked me, I think I threw up a little. But since I hadn’t done anything in over a month with people that I’m not related to, I decided to say yes.
I hadn’t seen the first Twilight movie, so I felt like I needed to get caught up on the movie before I saw the sequel. i talked my cousin Jessica into watching it with me (after a bribery of Peanut Butter Popcorn). She hadn’t seen it either. I was able to borrow a copy of the movie (I didn’t want to spend any money on renting a movie I wasn’t going to like).
We sat down on the couch and started watching Twilight the Friday before New Moon came out. As the movie progressed we kept looking at each other with an expression that can only be described as “I kindof like this movie”. By the time the movie was over we were hooked. We watched EVERY special feature and even went online to watch the previews for New Moon and other clips we could find.
After we had posted our status updates on Facebook, people replied like crazy. By Saturday, we decided that we needed to watch Twilight again… so back in the dvd player it went. We decided that we wanted to start reading the books later in the week. Which was bad for my ability to sleep. I read all 4 books in 5 days. Yes, I know… I’m crazy. But I enjoyed them. We both got sick the weekend New Moon came out, so we didn’t make it to the opening night, but we had the books to keep us entertained.
I just saw New Moon this past Saturday night and I have to say, I enjoyed
Twilight more than I enjoyed New Moon. I loved the New Moon book. It was my favorite, but the movie… not so much.
I wont talk about the details, but I am and always be on… Team Edward.
