Today I am starting the 4 Hour Body Slow Carb Diet.
My brother introduced me to the book, and I’m hoping to see some results to keep me going. I need to lose weight, and I need to eat better. Luckily I like the foods listed on the Slow Carb Diet approved list. Fingers crossed that I’m able to maintain it until Saturday (my cheat day).

I got some amazing news last night. I’m super excited about said news. Sadly, I’ve been sworn to secrecy until Sunday.
It’s seriously the best Christmas present ever.

So it’s been over a year since I have posted last. I’m officially classified as a slacker. Oh well. Not like all of you have been sitting on the edges of your seats waiting for another post.
Well, I’m going to try and be back a little more often. No promises though.

So, I’ve decided that I need to shape up. I’m annoyed with the way I’ve been taking care of my body, and I have officially decided that I’m going to start taking better care of myself.
I have a love of baking and all forms of cooking (which are evident by going to my cooking blog: www.tagskitchen.com).
I have a new diet that I will be sticking to for the next 12 weeks. The great thing is that I have a lot of options. I will be posting updates as to how it’s all working out for me.
I think the biggest challenge for me will be going and working out. I have such crazy hours, that it makes it difficult to get exercise in. I got almost all of my meals ready for the week yesterday. I officially started the diet today. Yay for me!!
If you would like to see what I’m eating click here: My new diet… I have also created a spreadsheet to have an at a glance look at what I need over the course of the week: My diet at a glance…
Note: I'm not saying that any of my readers should go on this diet. If you do, great... if you don't, that's fine too. If you don't loose weight, then don't blame me.

I just got back from my cousin’s wedding in Salt Lake City. I’m so happy Matthew found Stacy. Stacy is awesome. She picked out the wedding cake…

If it’s not obvious, Stacy loves my cousin.

When I get really into a movie, I sometimes feel inferior for some unknown reason. Right now, I’m feeling lesser than I should.
I know movies are a fantasy, but somehow they still manage to make me feel like I’m not as good as I could or should be.
I’m listening to the soundtrack of Twilight as I write this post and I am amazed at the talent that the musicians have. When I listen to music I think “Why didn’t I practice the piano or the violin more?” “Why didn’t I take voice lessons seriously?”.
I find the talents that others have more desirable than my own. The life that I have isn’t the life that I was dreaming I would have 10 years ago. I made choices then that I’m paying for now.
Why don’t we do things right the first time? Why don’t we accept and grow the talents that we have? Why do we have to feel inferior to others?

The Twilight series.
Yes, I know… I’m a little late to the Twilight craze.
I promised myself that I wasn’t going to see the movies or read the book. But when you have just moved back to a small town, and don’t have any friends you take every social opportunity you can get.
I got invited by some girls I work with to go see New Moon. When they asked me, I think I threw up a little. But since I hadn’t done anything in over a month with people that I’m not related to, I decided to say yes.
I hadn’t seen the first Twilight movie, so I felt like I needed to get caught up on the movie before I saw the sequel. i talked my cousin Jessica into watching it with me (after a bribery of Peanut Butter Popcorn). She hadn’t seen it either. I was able to borrow a copy of the movie (I didn’t want to spend any money on renting a movie I wasn’t going to like).
We sat down on the couch and started watching Twilight the Friday before New Moon came out. As the movie progressed we kept looking at each other with an expression that can only be described as “I kindof like this movie”. By the time the movie was over we were hooked. We watched EVERY special feature and even went online to watch the previews for New Moon and other clips we could find.
After we had posted our status updates on Facebook, people replied like crazy. By Saturday, we decided that we needed to watch Twilight again… so back in the dvd player it went. We decided that we wanted to start reading the books later in the week. Which was bad for my ability to sleep. I read all 4 books in 5 days. Yes, I know… I’m crazy. But I enjoyed them. We both got sick the weekend New Moon came out, so we didn’t make it to the opening night, but we had the books to keep us entertained.
I just saw New Moon this past Saturday night and I have to say, I enjoyed
Twilight more than I enjoyed New Moon. I loved the New Moon book. It was my favorite, but the movie… not so much.
I wont talk about the details, but I am and always be on… Team Edward.

We just got the call that my Aunt Lila died. She has been living with Alzheimer for the last few year, and it had been getting progressively worse. She hadn’t been eating much over the last few months, and dropped 50 some odd pounds in the last month.
Its such a strange feeling when you know someone’s death is a blessing, but it still doesn’t make it any easier. Knowing how sad my grandma is over the loss of her sister is even more sad.
I love you Aunt Lila! I hope you are happier wherever you are now.
